Early Sturmabteilung (S.A.) & NSBO Photo Album 1929 - 1934

This is an early German photoalbum of a man from Großauheim who was a member of the Sturmabteilung (S.A.). There are photos of him in S.A. uniform in 1930 and also and marching with SA-Sturm 8 in 1932. He was also a ranking member of a NSDSP Trade union the 'Nationalsozialistische Betriebszellen-Organisation', National Socialist Factory Cell Organization, better known as the NSBO. NSBO exsisted in the time before the Nazi party consolidated trades union into the D.A.F. Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labour Front). The NSBO were known to go on strike with Communists and so were not your average National Socialist organisation. There are many pictures of his NSBO activity, including NSBO Caps & formations. Some from an NSBO event at the Andreae Noris Zahn (a German pharmacutical company). Included are pictures of the man on his motorcycle as he toured Southern Germany in 1930 as well as some landscape pictures he took on his travels.There are also 2 pictures from an event which had in attendance 2 members of Allgemeine-SS. The '32' collar tabs denoting the 32.SS-Standarte 'Baden'.

Featured throughout are a military hospital and a sporting event (featuring several amputee SS/soldiers). Some landscape and civilian pictures are included also. Locations include Schlieffenwalde and Rakwitz (scene of violence against ethnic Germans 1 Sept 1939).

SS.Frw.Legion Flandern This is a photoalbum containing hundreds of pictures belonging to Otto Johannson who was a armourer/Waffenwart of 3.kp SS-Frw.Legion Flandern. This album begins around 1906 with the Father of Otto who was a Reichspost employee, includes his marriage, brothers who were Zoll and LW, the album ends in 1996 with colour photographs of his Children and the grandchildren. Highly researchable album to a named member of SS.Frw-Legion Flandern. Also shown included are images of Spiess Otto Kunz.

Hitler Youth 1936 – Berlin, Munich and Nürnberg

Hitler Youth 1936 – Berlin, Munich and Nürnberg Reichsparteitag preparations 186x Picture Hitler Youth collection. This set belonged to one man who features extensively throughout. It illustrates his time in the Hitler Youth from 1936 onwards and also one single picture of him during wartime in SS uniform & finishing with many of him post war working in a quarry circa 1947 – 1948. From his HJ days are his travels to Munich, Berlin and Nürnberg & Austria. From Munich there are photographs of landmarks such as the Haus der Deutschen Kunst, the Ehrentempel, Feldherrnhalle & Konigplatz. From Berlin the Dietrich-Eckart Freilichtbühne, Sanssouci & Olympic Stadium. Also shown are many pictures of Nürnberg itself in the run up to Reichsparteitag, including the Reichsparteitag rally grounds, Hitler’s speaking platform & the Luitpoldhain Memorial, the Nürnberg Cathedral and Hitler Youth camps in the vicinity. There are several pictures of him in preparation for a sporting event & some from the Hitler Youth Hostel ship the Jugendherbergschiff ‘Hein Godenwind’ (there is a well known tinnie badge in honour of this ship). Included are some non-military pictures of sailing and some in the Alps, Hallstatt in Austria and others (they were included with this set when I purchased them).

Poland, France, Romania & Russian Front Wehrmacht album.
This 274 picture Album covers one man on his wartime jouney into France (Nancy, Nantes & Strasbourg) Poland and then into Romania and Russia. Featuring many vehicles, motorcycles, staff cars, trucks, Raupenschlepper Ost (Steyr RSO), early panzer mockups/armoured cars as well as a Russian front Tiger tank picture. Covering day to day life in France including an officer inspection/ceremony in Nancy, a civilian funeral in romania (featuring a wehrmacht soldier participating in the funeral band). Field guns and artillery exercises and movements, land trains and movement by train into Russia. Deutsche Rote Kreuz in France. Marching in occuppied france and a road accident involving an overturned heavy truck. Laughing and dancing with the russians civilians as well as helping farmers. Also pictures of field graves amid grazing cows and one of a burning Russian cottage. Features photographs of Wehrmacht field testing a captured Karabing przeciwpancerny wzór 35 (kb ppanc wz. 35 or anti-tank rifle, model 35. A Polish 7.92 mm anti-tank rifle used in small numbers by the Polish Army during the September 1939 invasion of Poland & also at least once in ghetto uprisings. Code name, kb Urugwaj (kb Ur) & renamed by the Wehrmacht the Panzerbüchse 35 (polnisch) (PzB 35(p)).

23rd Panzer Division (Charkow, Stalingrad). This album charts one mans progress from the Reichsarbeitsdienst (Arbeitsdienst 5/260 Sulzbach/Murr) in 1938-1939, through to service on the WestWall (Siegfried line) to Infantry Regiment 109, of 35 Infantry Division (9.IR,109, 35 Inf div). Operation 'Sealion', (invasion of Britain) landing exercises, (Dunkirk & Belgium). Progressing through to the 101st Light Infantry Division ,formed from one third of 35th Infantry Division, posted to Prague 10th December 1940 (captioned '101.light Gebirgs division'). On to the famous 23rd Panzer Division, taking part in many of their most famous battles. Karl Heller - S.A. Sturm 26 'Leibstandarte', Bahnschutz, Reichsbahn
Large photograph album from Karl Heller, who served in Signals group of Sturm 26 'Leibstandarte' of Munich in June 1932. There are also photographs of the 9th November 1933 march to Feldernhalle on the 10 year anniversary of the Hitler Putsch. Images of Karl Heller as a freiwillige Feuerwehr in 1927, and approx 1931/1932 in the NSAD. Later images show S.A. Sturm 26 between 1932 and 1933, SA Striefendienst 'Der Standortführer München' & Bahnschutz Ausbildung 1934. Images continue up to service across Belgium and France 1944. German Locations include Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden, Munich (including the Berghotel Sudelfeld in Bayrischzell). Uniform images of Freikorps Epps badge in wear, SA Standarte Munchen (L 26), SA Striefendienst, SA Sportschool, Reichsbahn White Summer tunic and Reichsbahn in service of Deutsche Wehrmacht in France throughout 1940 - 1944 along side artillery pieces, knocked out tanks, downed aircraft and bombed out buildings.
