Including Daniel O’ Connell, Michael Collins, Charles Stewart Parnell, Éamon de Valera, Arthur Griffith, Countess Markievicz, Michael Cusack, Robert Erskine Childers, Roger Casement, Frank Ryan, Sean Devoy, Cathal Brugha, James Stephens along with many Dublin Brigade Irish Republican Army veterans of the Easter Rising 1916, the Irish War of Independence (1919 - 1921) and Irish Civil War (1921 - 1923).

'Thomas Addis Emmet, M.D. Born in Virginia 1826 - Died in New York, 1919 Distinguished son of more distinguished sires, by his burning and unquenchable zeal for the cause of Irish Freedom he perpetuated in America the Patriotic Traditions established in Ireland by his illustrious Grandfather, Thomas Addis Emmet and his martyred Granduncle, The Immortal Robert Emmet. Eminent among the surgeons of his generation founder of Plastic Surgery, Teacher, Historian, Publicist and Biographer. Peerless Patriot and devout Catholic. His Name is in Benediction Among Many Peoples. By his dying request his remains are laid to rest beheath this monument in the land of his forefathers.
